Support Technician
We are looking for
technically skilled candidates with excellent interpersonal skills
for a Technical Support Position. Primary responsibilites for the Support Technician include: troubleshooting of technical issues, providing timely customer feedback, and supporting
the roll-out of new applications. Other duties may include travel and training of customers. Support Technicians need to learn and thoroughly understand all the
capabilities of the software, talk to customers directly and train
customers on the software. Support Technicians will create written
documentation requiring excellent written and verbal communication skills.
Some travel will be involved.
Responsibilities
Troubleshooting
technical and data issues.
Installing
and configuring software.
Speaking
to customers directly to quickly get to the root of their problem.
Providing
timely and accurate customer feedback.
Talking
customers through a series of actions to resolve a problem.
Providing
support in the form of procedural documentation.
Managing
multiple cases at one time.
Testing
and evaluating new software features and
functionality.
Assisting
developers with writing application reports and custom client
reports.
Documenting
client feature and functionality requests for the development team.
Thoroughly
learning the software’s features and functionalities and be able to
communicate that knowledge to team members and customers.
Requirements
Degree
in computer science or information technology or diploma with related
experience.
Certifications
in Microsoft or Linux is advantageous, but
not necessary.
Prior
experience in technical support, desktop support, or a similar role.
Proficiency
in Windows / Linux / XML
/ Jasper advantageous.
Experience
with remote desktop applications and help desk software.
Attention
to detail and good problem-solving skills.
Excellent
interpersonal skills.
Good
written and verbal communication skills in English.

position is a fully remote based position. We will supply the successful candidate with a laptop, monitor, keyboard, mouse, IP phone and business cell phone. Successful candidate will require a reliable high speed internet connection.
