DynaStar™ Users can make use of the wildcard when searching. The wildcard is the asterisk (*) and it can be used in three different ways when performing searches.
1. To find all the records that start with a certain number or letter, enter that number or letter followed by the wildcard
Search criteria with 1 field only, or
in a Filter Row cell.
Search criteria with 2 fields
2. To find all the records that contain a certain number or letter, enter wildcard followed by the number or letter followed by another wildcard
Search criteria with 1 field only, or
in a Filter Row cell.

3. To find all the records ending with a certain number or letter, enter the wildcard followed by the number or letter
Search criteria with 1 field only, or
in a Filter Row cell.
Search criteria with 2 fields
Searches are not case sensitive, so it does not matter if a letter is capitalized. The letter can be used with letters, numbers, symbols or any combination thereof
